Element Records is a small independent label based out of Atlanta, GA. The label believes in artists and music that utilize the basic elements; a solid groove, soulfulness and strong melodies to achieve raw, organic and excellent sounding analog recordings, music that is timeless.
A little history.... Like many indie labels, Element Records has struggled over the years, since its inception in 2005, to officially release a full length album, or even a single. The Label started as a backbone for the house band(The Elements) to record and release tracks for various artists the label had plans to work with. However, things didn't work out as planned for various reasons. In 2005, The Elements recorded with legendary soul-jazz guitarist Melvin Sparks, and a vinyl 45 record was cut with guest saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum on the b-side. However, the label had lack of funding for proper promotion and that release has been pretty much forgotten about. In 2007, the label released a short length seven track album with The Soulphonics, originally out of Gainesville, FL. The Soulphonics had brief success in their original home base of Florida, and went through a slight format change and another year or two went by as that band(and the label) relocated to Atlanta,GA and worked on their music with the addition of female vocalist Ruby Velle. |
